Kimax vacuum filtering pump designed for minimum free air flow of 6.5 liters per minute with 40 lbs. of water pressure. With the same water pressure, a 500mL filter flask is evacuated to the vapor pressure of water (approximately 29.3" of mercury vacuum) in approximately 1.5 minutes. Since water backs up into all pumps tested when operated on a closed system at pressures of less than 35 lbs., a check valve of improved design is an integral part of this pump. Stems are designed to accept 5/16" I.D. flexible tubing. Kimble #: 38004-99.
